Gunna is back home, but that doesn’t mean he’s back in the spotlight yet. As part of the YSL charge, the Atlanta rapper got caught up in a RICO case last year. But by taking an Alford Plea, he gave the idea that he had left Young Thug and lied to him.
There were rumors that he wants to leave the YSL label because many of the musicians on the label have publicly ignored him. Lil GotIt, for instance, criticized Gunna for giving tribute to the late Lil Keed and called for the release of Young Thug.
Most of the time, it seems like Gunna is waiting for the story to end before coming out with new songs. Still, every once in a while, a new picture appears out of nowhere, building up excitement for his return.
This week, though, a new picture came out that shocked fans. Gunna has been the subject of jokes about his weight his whole career, but since he got out of jail, he seems to have lost a lot of weight. At the very least, the change is shocking.
Did Gunna Lose His Weight?
It’s been a while since we have heard from Gunna, but the rapper recently reemerged in a new shot. Gunna and the other men stand in a kitchen and pose for the camera. The Atlanta rapper, now 29 years old, appears to have slimmed down considerably since his release from prison in 2017.

After entering a plea agreement in the YSL RICO case, Gunna was freed from prison in December. As part of a plea deal, he admitted guilt on a charge of racketeering conspiracy under the Alford plea agreement. The allegations of snitching, however, persist. Now that his album “A Gift and a Curse” has been released, Gunna is showing off his lost weight.
About a month ago, he released a sneak peek of a new song in which he addressed the speculation about his romantic involvement with YSL. Gunna shot off rumors that he was leaving his record agreement with Young Thug’s label.
“Heard the rumors said I’m packing up and flying out / We ain’t goin’ nowhere / I’m staying here, gone fight it out,” he raps on the melodic track. Currently, Gunna is returning to his job.

Have a Look at Gunna’s Early Life
On June 14, 1993, Sergio Giavanni Kitchens entered the world in College Park, Georgia. His mother brought him up in that house. In addition, he is the youngest of four brothers. Kitchens had a great time growing up with his family. He also began his musical career at the tender age of 15, when he first began singing.
Cameron, Chingy, Outcast, and many others influenced him musically. Gunna’s love of music carried over into his academic life. He’d rap wherever, and in 2013, his debut mixtape, Hard Body, was published. However, it failed to capture the interest of the public. A brilliant career, though, was just getting started.
Gunna Career and Awards
In 2013, under the alias Yung Serg, Gunna released his debut mixtape Hard Body, which launched his career. Later, he had trouble keeping his profile high in the media. When he met Young Thug in 2016, he was introduced to fellow rappers Travis Scott and Gucci Mane. Floyd Mayweather, a song by Young Thug, was later featured. A mixtape titled Drip Season followed, and he eventually signed with YSL labels.
The follow-up mixtape, titled Drip Season 2, dropped in 2017. His first EP, titled Drip or Drown, came out the same year. Drip Season 3, a commercial mixtape, was released in 2018. In 2018, he collaborated with Lil Baby on a song titled “Drip Too Hard,” which quickly became a smash success.
