The English right-back has had a difficult few months as he recovered from a foot fracture he sustained in his sixth match for the club against Aston Villa in February.
But Trippier is almost ready to resume training in full force and is no longer using a protective boot.
Eddie Howe responded when asked about Trippier’s health before Sunday’s triumph over Leicester by saying that after more than two months, he is back on the grass and running.
“I believe Kieran is very slightly ahead of plan,” he remarked. He starts to jog on the grass with his boots on. For us, that is a very positive indicator. He still needs to improve his fitness and all that goes with it.
According to Howe, Wilson has begun some modest shooting workouts on the practise field but believes Trippier is recovering more quickly than the frontman.

When Can Trippier Recover From Injury?
While the visit of the Eagles will be too soon for the right-back, Newcastle will resume play on Wednesday when they welcome Crystal Palace.
The remaining games for the Magpies in April are against Norwich and Liverpool, and they have four more in May after that.
Trippier isn’t even back in full training, so it seems unlikely that he will return before May, especially as Howe wasn’t even able to provide a specific date when he was pressed for one following Leicester’s victory.
No dates or games have been announced as of yet, he said. We want them to be comfortable with their injuries and with themselves.
