Following “bad news” from his doctors, Morgan Wallen has canceled the remainder of his tour dates for the following six weeks.
On Tuesday, the country music artist announced it in an Instagram video. You can see the post below:
“Let’s just get right to it, I’m going to. My specialists at the Vanderbilt Voice Center gave me some awful news yesterday,” he stated. “Last weekend I played three shows in Florida after taking a 10-day vocal rest, and by the third one I felt terrible.”

Wallen claimed he was diagnosed with “vocal fold trauma” and was instructed to avoid using his voice for six weeks.
“They told me that if I do this the right way, I’ll get back to 100% and they also said that if I don’t listen and I keep singing, then I’ll permanently damage my voice,” the singer continued. “So for the longevity of my career, this is just a choice I had to make. I hate it. But I love you guys, and I appreciate all the support that you always give me.”
The affected dates, which include performances at the Truist Park in Atlanta, the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, according to Wallen, are being rescheduled. According to a Wallen representative’s statement, tickets for the initial performances will still be honored.
When Wallen abruptly postponed a performance in Oxford, Mississippi, while many spectators were already seated in the stadium, it caused controversy. The number-one artist is no stranger to controversy, though. In 2021, Wallen entered a rehab facility after TMZ released a video of him using a racial epithet.
Big Loud Records suspended Wallen’s recording deal “indefinitely” in response to solid outrage, and prominent radio stations stopped playing his music.
