James David Maslow was reared in La Jolla, California, after being born in New York City on July 16, 1990. Maslow’s father, Mike Maslow, is of Ashkenazi Jewish origin, while his mother, Cathy Burge, is of Scots-Irish (Northern Irish), Swiss-German, Irish, German, and English lineage.
