In February 1977, Jason Aldine Williams was born in Macon, Georgia. He learned how to play the guitar from his father. He had a performance at the neighbourhood VFW hall, and at age 15, he joined the Nashville South house band.

Aldean continued to perform live in and around Atlanta throughout his early twenties. In 1998, he received a record deal offer from Warner Chappel Music, which he quickly accepted. He was excited to begin the recording process for his debut album since he was sure this would be the first significant step in his career as a singer-songwriter.
He was unaware that the record company had only recently learned about him and wasn’t prepared for immediate success. They chose to remove him from their label shortly after because they were preoccupied with something else.
