One of Netflix’s most divisive original anime series, Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045, has become a lightning rod for debate. However, the controversy was not caused by any wrongdoings behind the scenes, but rather by the animation’s design, which angered many die-hard Ghost in the Shell fans.

Season 2 of Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045 will premiere on Netflix on May 23rd, 2022, thanks to Netflix’s commemoration of Anime Day Japan.

Season 2 is expected to include the same number of episodes as the first season, which aired 12 episodes.
Can We Expect to See the Third Season of Ghost in the Shell: Sac_2045?
That is yet to be determined. An interview conducted before the show’s debut confirmed that the plot would span at least two seasons. Production I.G, the studio that animated the film, didn’t confirm for a while.
Many anime enthusiasts were disappointed by the anime’s animation, which they felt strayed too far from traditional anime visual styles.

GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045 SEASON 2 OST ALBUM ~ DETAILS
So, what can you expect from the second season of Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045’s official soundtrack? What you’ll find in the “Session 2 Soundtrack” section is the whole list of BGM composed by Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi, who is a “composer couple based in Tokyo and Los Angeles who have written scores for several films, video games, and anime”.
So, if you were wondering, the two of them have a long history in the music industry thanks to their work on the Metal Gear games’ soundtracks.
Three insert songs, “Don’t Break Me Down,” “Find Me,” and “2+2=n,” are also included on the Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045 season 2 OST album in addition to the BGM. Please check out the soundtrack CD on June 22, 2022, if you enjoy their music or the work done by Nobuko Toda or Kazuma Jinnouchi.
If season 2 is anything like season 1, it could be the season’s only redeeming quality. Netflix still has the first season available if you’d like to see it for yourself. Just don’t hold your breath for anything spectacular.
