Twitter was purchased by South African billionaire Elon Musk last year for more than $44 billion. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, then changed several Twitter policies and even let go of several employees. Musk received harsh criticism even though he made these efforts to promote free speech. On the other side, the founder of SpaceX seems unfazed and is making his usual changes to Twitter’s rules.
Musk recently revealed a new update to his official Twitter profile that would delete many inactive Twitter accounts. A rush of responses followed the ruling, including one from Andrew Tate asking to keep his late father’s account.
What was said by Andrew Tate to Elon Musk?
Previously, Elon Musk made it necessary for accounts on Twitter, including those of famous people, to pay a monthly fee to maintain their blue tick. The Tesla CEO has now announced a platform-wide cleanup of dormant accounts to free up space.
Musk penned:
“We’re purging accounts that have had no activity at all for several years, so you will probably see follower count drop.”
Tate, a former professional kickboxer, begged Musk on Twitter to keep his father’s account active after his father passed away several years ago. Tate contends that the bill would delete an essential part of his father’s history even if it hasn’t been used since his passing.

Tate wrote:
“Very good idea. But my father d!ed, and I still read his account daily. Please keep him active.”
Tate, dubbed “Cobra,” has publicly lauded Emory Tate, his father. He credits his father with all of his accomplishments. Obviously, the contentious social media star cared for him and wanted his account to be active.
Andrew and his younger brother Tristan started retweeting and responding to their father’s earlier tweets to keep his account active after Elon Musk’s announcement. Did Musk troll Tate?
Andrew Tate and Elon Musk are prominent internet personalities who frequently spark online discussions. Both respect the right to free speech, notwithstanding Musk’s infrequent funny comments about Tate on social media. You can see below:
Sometimes it’s just better to make pizza at home
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) December 31, 2022
On New Year’s Eve, Musk joked about how preparing pizza at home is better than other options. On the other side, Tate’s fans interpreted it as a reference to his recent arrest on charges of rape and people trafficking arising from a video he posted showing pizza boxes. There was a report that the name of the pizza business was used on the boxes to track him down by the authorities, but this was denied. However, it is simple to infer that Musk was targeting Tate.
