Phantom Liberty Trailers
V is heard swearing to “faithfully serve the New United States of America” in the first Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty trailer, which may indicate that V is going to begin a new job as a government agent.
Or maybe the unknown woman shown at 0:28, who appears to be dictating the oath, is a private employer of V. Given her aura of being a “powerful person,” this unidentified woman is probably a prominent politician. She might be Rosalind Myers, President of the NUSA, as some Cyberpunk 2077 enthusiasts have speculated online.
We see a second enigmatic woman standing atop a stadium near the end of the video as a jet crashes to the ground. She is most likely an Engram, a computer representation of a person’s consciousness, based on the red glitching effect.
It’s interesting to note that not everyone on Team V seems to support the NUSA partnership. V is cautioned by a male voice near the end of the first Phantom Liberty video that taking the oath is “a bad idea.” That voice sounds familiar, don’t you think?
Yes, Keanu Reeves is back as Johnny Silverhand, our favorite Engram Rockerboy. He is heard criticizing the military and politics in the second Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty video, which also shows a vibrant new neighborhood named “Dogtown.”
The second teaser for Phantom Liberty also introduces us to Solomon Reed, an FIA agent portrayed by Idris Elba, so Reeves won’t be the only well-known actor in the film.
Solomon is certainly a certified secret agent, as shown by the fact that “FIA” is likely an acronym for “Federal Intelligence Agency.” Solomon briefly teases that his aim is to bring about peace. His approach to business? destroying Dogtown with fire.
The creators explained several details you might have missed in the original trailer, which was unveiled during Summer Games Fest 2023. You can have a peek at some of the new game features and some of the new weaponry you can employ in Dogtown in this 15-minute video.
Phantom Liberty Gameplay
New Phantom Liberty gameplay components are not well known, however, we may certainly anticipate finding new cyberware and weaponry. using a new whip, a shotgun, and a katana in a series of three brief fighting segments from the first teaser.
Phantom Liberty will be the most expensive addition in CDPR’s history, a spokeswoman, who added that game-scope-related details will be revealed at a later time. The second teaser shows a Ripperdoc fitting V with a cybernetic faceplate, which might be another sneak peek at a brand-new gameplay feature.
This could be a disguise since the DLC’s plot revolves around the theme of espionage. But it might be more if the faceplate somehow bestows new skills.
