What Is The Plot of Black Adam?
The Crown of Sabbac was established in 2600 BC by the despotic ruler Ahk-Ton of Kahndaq to consolidate his control. The Council of Wizards grants a young slave boy the Shazam powers when he attempts to stage a revolution, changing him into Kahndaq’s valiant champion who kills Ahk-Ton and overthrows his rule.
Adrianna Tomaz, an archaeologist and resistance fighter, is currently trying to find the Crown of Sabbac with the aid of her brother Karim and their coworkers Samir and Ishmael while the Intergang, a mercenary group, is subjugating Kahndaq.
Adrianna is forced to read magic that awakens Teth-Adam, whom she believes to be Kahndaq’s champion, from a slumber as she receives the crown after Intergang ambushes them and kills Samir.
Amanda Waller, a representative of the US government, believes Adam poses a threat as he decimates most of the Intergang soldiers and calls the Justice Society to help capture him.
Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher from the Justice Society show there just in time to stop Adam’s killing spree and inform Adrianna that Adam is an insane prisoner rather than an entombed hero.
Amon, Adrianna’s teenage son, who has stolen and concealed the crown, is taken hostage by Ishmael, who reveals himself as the Intergang boss in Kahndaq. Finding the height, Adam, Adrianna, and the Justice Society want to exchange it for Amon. When he finally gets to Ishmael, he explains that he is the final heir to King Ahk-Ton and that he wishes to take the throne in his due place.
Adrianna voluntarily provides the crown to save Amon, but Ishmael breaks the terms of the agreement and shoots at Amon. As a result, Adam loses control and uses his powers to demolish the hideout, killing Ishmael and injuring Amon. Guilt-ridden, Adam retreats to the remains of Ahk-palace Tons.
He tells Hawkman that Hurst, Adam’s son, was the one who received Shazam’s abilities and became Kahndaq’s champion, contrary to what had been previously believed. Ahk-Ton gave the order to assassinate Hurut’s family, including Adam and Hurut’s mother, knowing that Hurut was invulnerable. Hurut granted Adam his powers to save him.
Still, when Ahk-assassins Ton killed the depowered Hurut, Adam became outraged and accidentally destroyed the king’s palace by slaughtering all of the king’s troops.
Adam, later found worthless by the Council of Wizards, attacked and killed them all in a fit of rage, save for Shazam, who could confine him and the Crown of Sabbac inside what would later become Adam’s tomb.
