One of the top talents in the NBA has suffered an injury yet again. Joel Embiid, the center for the Philadelphia 76ers, reportedly has a right knee sprain sustained during Game 3 of his team’s first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets. He joins many athletes who have suffered injuries early in the NBA Playoffs, including Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo and Memphis’ Ja Morant.
Embiid reportedly hurt himself playing defense in the second half of Game 3 on Thursday in Brooklyn. The Cameroonian big man was seen limping a few times throughout the match.
Due to his first-quarter Flagrant 1 foul for kicking Nets center Nic Claxton, he nearly lost the game before the injury occurred. Later, another team member, James Harden, was dismissed for intentionally kicking Royce O’Neale in the groin during a drive. But the Sixers prevailed by a slim margin, 102-97, to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.
With 33.1 points scored per game during the regular season, Embiid has become the favorite to win the NBA MVP award. He would be a massive loss for the Sixers, but early signs indicate a less severe injury. Before Game 4 between the Sixers and Nets, here is the most recent information on Embiid’s ailment.
What Is Joel Embiid’s Injury?
Embiid started to clearly hobble in the second half of Game 3 on Thursday. A right knee sprain was discovered by an MRI after the game, according to Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.
He reportedly hurt himself while blocking Brooklyn’s Cam Thomas’ shot in the third quarter. He was obviously not at full strength, but he was able to play through it for the remainder of the game.
Tyrese Maxey’s clutch shots down the stretch helped the Sixers secure a slim victory in the end. Embiid scored just 14 points overall, making 5 of 13 field goal attempts. You must check out Janesville Car Accident: Numerous Collisions On I-39/90 Between Janesville And Beloit Left 21 People Injured!

The good news is that he probably won’t need to rush back because the Sixers presently hold a 3-0 series advantage over the Nets. He won’t play in Game 4 on Saturday, but if the Nets win to keep their playoff hopes alive, he might suit up for Game 5 in Philadelphia on Monday.
