Stranger Things Star Noah Schnapp Comes Out As Gay On TikTok: On Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” Noah Schnapp, who portrays the secret gay kid Will Byers, has come out.
The 18-year-old actor wrote, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years, and all they said was ‘we know'” in a video uploaded to his TikTok account on Thursday.
Schnapp lip-synced to an audio clip from another TikTok that featured someone saying, “You know what, it never was That serious. Never was it that serious. In all honesty, it won’t ever be that serious.
I suppose I’m more like Will than I imagined, Schnapp stated in the caption of his TikTok video. Will Byers is gay, and in love with his best friend Mike, Schnapp revealed to Variety in July, following the release of the final two episodes of the fourth season of “Stranger Things” (Finn Wolfhard).

The creators of “Stranger Things,” Matt and Ross Duffer, weren’t clear on what they had in mind for Will, and once they were, Schnapp claimed he didn’t want to give away how the fourth season of the show would explain the character’s path.
Because it’s so simple to have a character become gay suddenly, Schnapp remarked, “I think it is done so nicely.” People have approached me.

He was abducted by the Demogorgon years ago, and after that, his pals rejected him. As a result, he fears coming out because he doesn’t know if they will accept him.
Although Season 5 of “Stranger Things” will wrap up the series, Netflix and the Duffers have not yet said when filming will start on the season or when it will air.
