According to CNN, British actress Katy Louise Saunders and South Korean actor Song Joong-ki were married on Monday and are now expecting a child. Song wrote, “Today we just came back from registering our marriage to start our lives as a couple based on profound trust and love,” on a website for his fans.
He wrote, “Katy Louise Saunders has been spending significant time with me by supporting and caring for me. I committed to living life along with her. She has a good heart and has been living her life fervently. She is a beautiful lady with admirable wisdom. She has helped me become a better person.
In his message to fans, Song said he and Saunders had “dreamed of making a happy family.” “Thankfully, a precious life came to us,” he added.
The most recent major part for Song, who is most known for his work in Korean dramas like “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and “Deep Rooted Tree,” is in the wildly popular series “Reborn Rich.”
According to IMDb, Saunders, who has been in several Italian projects, most recently appeared in the 2018 film “Welcome Home” alongside Aaron Paul and Emily Ratajkowski.
Song previously spent two years married to fellow Korean star Song Hye-Kyo. When the couple officially divorced in 2019, it astounded millions of followers. In 2016, they gained widespread recognition for their roles as lovers in the hit romantic television series “Descendants of the Sun.”
They were known as the “Song Song Couple” after they began dating in real life and were widely regarded as Asia’s counterpart to American A-list couples like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
