Roy Carson Divorce: The Sleep Divorce Between Carson Daly And His Wife Has Become A “Sleep Separation”!

Snoring, small children climbing into the bed in the early morning, or frequent awakenings of a baby in a bassinet by the bed could have been the beginning of the problem. However, TODAY co-anchor Carson Daly and his wife Siri are not the only couples who occasionally spend their nights apart.

A 2004 National Sleep Foundation survey indicated that roughly one in four couples (23%) engage in the occurrence, which is referred to as a sleep divorce.

In an update to his TODAY audience, Daly, 48, who initially revealed his home sleeping arrangements in 2020, said, “I was issued my sleep-divorce papers a few years ago.” It’s the most wondrous thing ever happening to us, continued Daly. Indeed, both of us slept better apart.

The couple’s plans, however, seem to be changing once more. Now that we’ve made amends a little, we merely sleep apart. Some nights, I spend the night in bed, and other nights, I sleep on the couch or in the guest room.

Daly is also willing to test out a fresh approach that he and his co-anchors discussed live on air. The “Scandinavian approach,” as Daly referred to the fashion, is where each person has a comforter or duvet. Studies have shown that sharing a blanket while you sleep might cause up to 30% more sleep interruptions, the speaker added.

Daly remarked, adding that it sounded “worth trying” to him, “The theory here is that you’re less likely to be awakened by your partner if you’re sleeping with your duvet or your blanket.”

While Siri was expecting their fourth child, daughter Goldie, who is now 2 years old, the couple started sleeping apart. Jackson is 13 years old, London is 7 years old, and Etta is 9 years old.

Because I also have sleep apnea, it wasn’t working when she was in her third trimester, According to Daly, who spoke to People. We were “like a commercial you would see,” kicking each other and not sleeping because she couldn’t get comfortable.

We just shook hands and said, “I love you, but it’s time to sleep, divorce,” after waking up. We can all agree that that will be the right decision,” Daly added.

The arrangement lasted after Goldie’s arrival, with a transfer to the West Coast mandating a 3:00 am wake-up time for Daly’s TODAY show commitments. Whatever helps parents sleep soundly is healthiest for their marriage, regardless of whether you call it separate blankets, beds, or rooms.
