The sole son of Steve and Terri Irwin, Robert Clarence Irwin was born on December 1, 2003, in Buderim, Queensland, as the younger of two children. In honour of both his paternal and maternal grandfathers, he was given the name Robert. When Robert was two years old, his father passed away from a stingray wound to the heart while he was recording an underwater documentary.
After their father passed away, Robert and his sister Bindi were homeschooled at Australia Zoo. He holds dual citizenship in the United States and Australia. He has a sizeable Irish component and English ancestry on his father’s side.

Rorie Buckley is Robert Irwin’s romantic partner. Since November of last year, they have been dἀting. Robert has been seen travelling with Rorie, the niece of the late actor Heath Ledger, to many occasions and public appearances. They have been seen together at airport terminals as they manage their long-distance relationship, which shows how close they are.

The two were originally romantically linked in late 2017 after being seen out on a date in Queensland on Nov. 18. Since then, they have mostly kept their relationship private. Although Rorie’s Instagram account is secret, her profile picture appears to be a wildlife photograph that her boyfriend perhaps took.
She and Robert are both 19 years old. She also comes from a well-known family; her mother, Kate Ledger, was the sister of the late Australian actor Heath Ledger. Nathan Buckey, the father of Rorie Buckey, runs a business selling floor coverings, and Kate operates a design and media production company.
Kate and her family established the Heath Ledger Scholarship for promising young Australian actors after Heath passed away in 2008 due to their commitment to upholding his memory and legacy.
Rorie has an identical twin as well! At the 9th Annual Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship Dinner in 2018, she and her sister Scarlett were captured in photographs with their mother.
Although Robert and Rorie made their first appearance in public at the premiere of Mission: Impossible, they were seen together frequently earlier this year, usually at airports.

On May 21, when Robert arrived in Perth, Rorie gave him a big hug and they immediately started to laugh.
Robert isn’t hesitant about showing his love for his gorgeous family on social media, even though he and Rorie haven’t made their relationship Instagram public. In honour of his parent’s wedding anniversary last month, the wildlife expert and photographer posted a precious old photo of Terri and the late Steve Irwin.
