After a roller-coaster offseason, the Green Bay Packers have a challenging schedule in 2022. A lot of things changed in the offseason, but the most significant was the extension of Aaron Rodgers’ deal to keep him in Green Bay through 2022. Let’s take a look at the Packers’ schedule and see how it stacks up against the rest of the NFL in 2022.

The Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans are all on Green Bay’s home schedule for the 2022 season.
From Chicago to Detroit to Minnesota to Buffalo to Miami to Philadelphia to Tampa Bay to Washington to play the following teams will be the Packers’ road schedule in 2022.
The Packers’ Strength of Schedule Is in the Middle of the Pack in 2022
In terms of the Packers’ anticipated victory totals for the 2022 season, they are in an interesting position. The Packers may have anticipated a difficult schedule after winning the division last year. The Packers’ schedule, on the other hand, is the 15th-easiest in the NFL this year.
While the Packers face the hardest schedule in the NFC North, the greater picture is what they will be concerned about. The Packers may have their sights set on the NFC as a whole rather than their divisional rivals. That’s good and bad news for the Packers.
The Rams, Cardinals, and Buccaneers all have tougher schedules for Green Bay. In contrast, the Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers are all expected to have easier schedules this year.
In terms of the Packers’ home-and-road split, there is a notable difference. The Packers’ home schedule, which includes games against the Lions, Giants, and Jets, ranks seventh in the NFL. As a result of trips to Buffalo and Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers’ road schedule is among the league’s hardest. The London Game.
The London Game
Due to their upcoming game against the New York Giants, Packers fans already knew their team will be traveling to the United Kingdom this fall. In week five, the Packers will host the “visiting” New York Giants, with kickoff scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Eastern/6:30 a.m. Pacific on Sunday.
In and of itself, that game isn’t a big deal. Matt LaFleur has previously served as offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans and the Los Angeles Rams, both of which played in London in 2017. The Packers’ lack of a bye week following their trip to London is the most problematic aspect of their schedule surrounding their game there.
Seven days after their game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Packers will return to Lambeau Field to face the other New Jersey-based team, the New York Jets. The NFL has traditionally given teams playing in London a bye the following week, but this is a change from that practice. Instead, the Packers will face a club managed by the best man at LaFleur’s wedding, Robert Saleh, in a Noon kick-off a week after playing six time zones away.
The NFL has changed its bye week strategy for nearly all teams playing in London this year, not just the Packers. Only the Denver Broncos, who play the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in week 8 and are idle in week 9, are one of the six teams taking part in a London game in 2022. Due to their week 10 battle against Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both clubs have a week 11 bye following their respective week 10 games in Munich.
The Late Bye Week
The Packers will have a bye week in the final available window of the regular season, which is a boon for them heading into the postseason. As a result, they’ll be well-rested and in better physical condition for the final four weeks of the season.
Still, a week 14 bye means that the squad will play 13 straight games, including the aforementioned London matchup. After a Thursday Night Football game, the Packers get one long week of rest before the complete bye, which is only two weeks before the Packers host the Tennessee Titans in week 11 and travel to Philadelphia for a Sunday night game in week 12.
When Does the 2022 Nfl Season Begin?
