Nicole Kidman To Star In Paramount+ CIA Drama Lioness: Variety has heard exclusively that Nicole Kidman has joined the cast of Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming Paramount+ series “Lioness.”
Since Kidman has been associated with the project as an executive producer since “Lioness” was first announced, the change puts her in front of the camera on the program.
Based on a genuine CIA program, “Lioness” Cruz Manuelos (Layla De Oliveira), a passionate but rough-around-the-edges young Marine, is followed, according to the official series description, as she joins the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to assist in bringing down a terrorist organization from within.
Austin Hébert, Hannah Love Lanier, Stephanie Nur, Jonah Wharton, LaMonica Garrett, Dave Annable, James Jordan, and Zoe Saldana are also featured in the cast.
Described as “the CIA’s Senior Supervisor who has had a lengthy career playing the politics game,” Kidman will portray Kaitlyn Meade in the film.
She must balance the pressures of being a woman in the high-ranking intelligence establishment, a wife who yearns for the attention she can’t even provide, and serving as a mentor to someone who appears to be headed down the same difficult path as she has.
Although Kidman is primarily recognized for her critically praised film performances, she has recently increased her activity and demand in the television industry. The smash HBO drama “Big Little Lies,” for which she won both the Emmy and Golden Globe for best actress in a limited series, is where she gained the most notoriety.
