Death Charge In Lenoir County: After discovering a woman deceased, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office detained and charged a guy with concealing a death.
Carla Lee Soula, 42, was discovered dead inside her home on Deanswood Drive in Kinston by responding deputies at 7 p.m. on Friday.
In connection with a Lenoir County investigation conducted in collaboration with the N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office tracked down. It detained Steve Tyler Shifflett, 41, on Saturday.
Shifflett was detained at the W.E. “Billy” Smith Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond after being charged with one count of concealing a death. Additionally, he received a $2,000 secured bond on a pending arrest warrant in a separate matter. This case is still being investigated.
