When Did Joshua Palmer Start Playing Football?

Palmer grew up in Brampton, Ontario, the son of Keith and Alethia Palmer. His sisters are Lanisha and Keiana.At St. Roch Catholic Secondary School, he played basketball, ran track, and played football. He was named the “St. Roch’s Junior Athlete of the Year” in the tenth grade.

He was a wide receiver and defensive back in the ninth and tenth grades, helping St. Roch win two JV football titles. He also played for the Burlington Stampeders of the Ontario Football Conference and the Brampton Bulldogs.

Many Division I football teams pursued Palmer after he attended summer football clinics across the nation. After that, he attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for his final two years of high school.

In the summer before his senior year, Palmer committed to play collegiate football at Syracuse as a three-star prospect. At the conclusion of his senior year, he had eight touchdowns and 32 receptions for 506 yards, which earned him a spot on the Class 7A All-State second team.
