Pirro and her ex-husband Albert have two kids together. They relocated to Harrison, New York, where Pirro started working as an assistant district attorney, and her husband started working as a lobbyist after getting married.
Before their children were born, Albert was accused of fathering a daughter by a Florida lady he described as extortive and psychologically ill later in their marriage. Following his denials and protracted legal actions, DNA testing established his paternity, and in 1998 he was mandated to start paying child support.
After serving as a judge and district attorney, Pirro returned to the private sector and started a new career as a TV host and analyst. She was one of People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” in 1997.
Pirro’s husband was charged with conspiracy, four counts of tax evasion, and 28 counts of filing a false tax return on February 23, 1999, by the office of the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. He was accused of concealing over $1 million in personal income as business expenses between 1988 and 1997.
In response to the accusations, Pirro and her husband attended a press conference criticizing the inquiry as “intrusive and nasty.” The Pros had been friends of New York Governor George Pataki’s for “a long time,” the governor said in a statement, adding that he and his wife “wished them well.”
