Who is Riley King?
Several sources date Riley’s birth to April 23, 1994; he was born in Missoula, Montana, but now calls Tennessee home. He is an avid sports fan and professional athlete who has played both baseball and basketball. From 2013 to 2016, he was a member of the MLB’s Kansas City Royals. A 6 foot 4-inch star in baseball, he made the conversion to hoops in June of 2016.
He wrote on Instagram, “Couldn’t have enjoyed my time more in the Kansas City Royals organization as a professional baseball player and feel extremely grateful to have lived a dream of mine for the last 3 years since I was a little boy.
“After plenty of thought, time, and prayer I’ve decided to move on from professional baseball and go back to school to get a degree, as well as play 3 seasons of basketball at the University of Montana Western. “Thank you to everyone who has supported me and continues to. Go Dawgs!”
