Bridgerton Prequel Queen Charlotte Reveals First Look: A Bridgerton Story, with Arsema Thomas as young Lady Agatha Danbury, has been made available on Netflix.
The short-lived series will center on Queen Charlotte’s ascent to fame and power, which Danbury, played by Thomas, will utilize to her advantage as she tries to break into society while being controlled by her much older husband.
“With a keen understanding of the previously divided social scene and the subtleties of marriage, Agatha becomes a guiding light for the new Queen, all while discovering her voice and power,” states the character description on Netflix.
In the eight-episode series, India Amarteifio plays the younger Charlotte, and Golda Rosheuvel reprises her role as Queen Charlotte from Bridgerton. Although it’s unknown how each actress will portray the same position, they might appear in flashbacks or the future.

According to the streamer’s description of the prequel, “This Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the narrative of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George triggered a great love story and a cultural change, creating the world of the ‘ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.”
In Shonda Rhimes’ limited series, Amarteifio’s Charlotte discovers that the royal family isn’t what she expected when she comes to London as the king of England’s captive bride.
