Ben Master Dead: Passions actor Ben Masters, who played Julian Crane, has passed away. He was 75. Masters played the heir apparent to the Crane company and the son of multi-billionaire corporate magnate Alistair Crane on the NBC soap drama from 1999 until 2008.
According to Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter, Masters passed away Wednesday at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Springs. According to the sites, the actor had dementia for several years before passing away from COVID problems.
Following the announcement, Eric Martsolf, Masters’ former co-star from Passions, paid homage to the actor online. He posted a picture of Masters wearing a tux on Twitter along with the caption, “I snapped this on the last tape day at Passions.” “He was always grinning, and that’s how I’ll remember him. Ben, may you rest in peace, and thank you for being so wonderful.”

Along with his role on Passions, Masters has made appearances on several other television programs, such as Another World, Murder, She Wrote, Touched by an Angel, Sisters, Diagnosis Murder, Walker, Texas Ranger, and Kung Fu: The Legend Continues.
In the television movies Noble House and Celebrity, Masters co-starred with Pierce Brosnan and Tess Harper, respectively. He appeared in films like Making Mr. Right, All That Jazz, Dream Lover, Key Exchange, and Mandingo.
Early in his career, he also played parts in the Broadway and off-Broadway productions of The Cherry Orchard, Boys in the Band, and Captain Brassbound’s Conversion. Hannah and Clea Lerner, his nieces, and his sister Cheryl Lerner survive Masters. According to THR, he requested that there be neither a memorial service nor a funeral.
