At the start of Vol 3, English actor Will Poulter follows Ayesha’s orders and goes after Rocket on Knowhere, angering the Guardians. Adam fires Rocket with a beam that nearly k!lls the raccoon and twists Groot into a head with tiny roots before Nebula stabs him, sending Warlock away.

Why Adam Joins The New GOTG
Adam eventually begins to question his bosses, though. When Ayesha is k!lled in the decisive battle, he loses her. He observes the actions of his adversaries, culminating with Groot saving Warlock when he is on the verge of de@th. For the reason that “everyone deserves a second chance.”
