You Season 4: Potential Release Date Status on Netflix, Cast, Plot & More Details!

You Season 4

You Season 4

In October 2021, You season three premiered on Netflix; before the third season even aired, Netflix had already renewed the series for a fourth season.

As a result, be on the lookout for additional issues for Joe Goldberg. What’s the best part? He’s going global this time.

On the show’s renewal, executive producer Sera Gamble remarked, “[showrunner Greg Berlanti] and I were instantly obsessed with Joe Goldberg and his weird worldview.”

“Moreover, Penn [Badgley] has been a joy to see bring Joe to life in his weird and captivating fashion. Our heartfelt thanks go out to You, Netflix, and everyone who has enjoyed seeing Joe get it all so wrong over the past three seasons.

The entire You crew is looking forward to delving deeper into the dark side of love in season four.”So, what’s next for our bookkeeper-turned-serial-killer? The following information is all you require.

Your Season 4 Potential Release Date on Netflix: When Will It Air?

Season four filming in London officially began on March 22, 2022.

A clapperboard from the set with the date written on it was shared by the Netflix team. The board was, of course, covered in blood… due to the fact we’re talking about Joe here.

Since we last saw him in Paris at the end of season three, they may be filming there now.

The next chapter of season 4 is expected to arrive around the end of 2022, according to the tradition.

No matter what happens, we’ll keep you posted!

Your Season 4 Cast: Who will be in it?

Of course, we can count on Penn Badgely to return as our twisted hero, Joe Goldberg… or whatever his new name is.

When he married Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) in Season 3, Joe transformed himself into the consummate stay-at-home dad… until his obsessive and murderous tendencies took over again.

Since she was burned to death in their suburban home at the end of season three, something tells us we won’t see Victoria returning to the cast… However, Joe’s ex-girlfriends’ spirits do return from time to time, if only in his mind.

‘They’ve had their arc.'” Badgley stated why he thinks it was the proper option to end that aspect of the story. Finally, it felt like the time had come: “Okay if this is going to happen,” I thought.

To me, it signifies the end of the stories we’ve heard about Joe.” I believe that the entire Joe device will need to undergo some big, fundamental changes if it is to continue working. Because he’s been through so much now. I’m not sure how much can be replicated in terms of the show’s tone, although there might be a pre-and post-Love period.

Tati Gabrielle may reprise her role as Marianne, Joe’s next “you,” shortly. She escaped to Paris after falling in love with him while working together at the library. Then she and her daughter were kidnapped by him. Even though his death was well publicized. There are no good outcomes in store here.

Euphoria’s Lukas Gage joins the cast in season four. He will be a series regular (and a regular irritant to Joe) as his new antagonist, confirmed by Netflix on February 17. So he’ll want to keep an eye on things.

It has been confirmed by Deadline that Gage will play businessman Adam “an ex-pat American, the youngest son of a wealthy East Coast billionaire”. Adam, on the other hand, is having a difficult time matching the high expectations of his prosperous family.

“Adam brings a tonne of emotional baggage to the show. The seemingly carefree, good time guy is a gambler with a serious problem with addiction that he treats with prescription drugs. For his friends and lover, trusting him could be a huge mistake because of his drive to prove himself.”

Gage announced his new gig on Instagram, saying he was “supremely excited” about it in many posts.

If you do manage to make it through this season’s final stretch, we wish you luck. Whoever makes Joe angry usually doesn’t be around for long.

Our best wishes are with the star of “The White Lotus.”

Kate, an art gallery director who is dubious of Joe from the minute she meets him, will join the cast in season four as Ghosts’ Charlotte Ritchie.

Expect flashbacks involving Joe as a small boy, his birth mother, and the woman he befriended while in foster care, but other than that, brace yourself for a whole new cast of dreary, unlikable people.

“‘What pool of wealthy douchebags do we want to put Joe into next?’ is a common question on this show. If you leave the United States’ borders, you’ll find a plethora of undeveloped resources “Gamble was quoted as saying (via TV Line).

You Season 4 Plot: What’s Going to Happen?

As previously stated, Joe arrived in Paris after assassinating Love, who attempted to slit his throat first. This time around he had the foresight to squirm out of the position and liberate himself from marriage’s constraints again.

Although he knew it was in Henry’s best interests, there was only one drawback: he had to give up his son Henry to their neighbor Dante and her husband. It’s impossible to argue with him.

Sera Gamble discussed the potential ramifications of Joe abandoning Henry in the upcoming season.

A major event in the life of a character just can’t be ignored, she told E! News. I believe it will influence him for the rest of his life. The actual timing of his return for his son, as well as his exact method for doing so, is something that we’ll sit down and speak about for a long time between snacks.”

To find Marienne in the interim, Joe has made his way to Paris, where he is certain to track her down given his propensity for stalking. Love killed Joe and baked him into a pie, which should make for an interesting talk between the two of them when they finally meet, especially given that Love disclosed some unsettling home truths about Joe to Matignon.

In an interview with TV Line, Badgley said, “I suppose if Joe finds [her], he’ll live happily ever after and have beautiful babies.” In addition to learning the language and writing in French, they plan to spend time on the Seine and send their children to school in Sweden.

I don’t think Joe is going to change at all. If a person this severely ill, disturbed, traumatized, and violent is ever going to heal and transform, they face a formidable obstacle. That far gone, I’m not sure it’s even feasible.”

Also, there’s no indication of whether we’ll see Gabrielle’s character again in the future at this time. Her flight from him may have been permanent.

According to Gabrielle, if Marienne does make a comeback, “I don’t think that Marienne would go back [to Joe], like, certainly not,” she told The Wrap. Nevertheless, I believe she would give him the benefit of the doubt.

Her emotions had been messed with, for one thing, again.” Moreover, I believe that for her rehabilitation, she requires a face-to-face conversation with him. I believe it will provide her with a sense of calm… Also, I’d like Marienne to publicly humiliate Joe in the same way. That’s what I desire. Just absolutely, that’s exactly what I require.”

History suggests that she will meet her end, but what if the tables reversed and Joe’s good fortune runs out in season four?

In the final scene of season two, Gamble said, “It is proof that Joe is still Joe in a way that’s not going to be wonderful for Joe,” referring to the scene where Joe is spying on his neighbor Natalie (RIP) through a fence gap. That he hasn’t learned that he can’t just keep hunting for the next person to attach his hopes and aspirations in that way.

“Joe’s luck is running out.”

That said, things haven’t exactly gone according to plan ahead of Season 4.

According to Gamble, “I feel like Season 3 for him is a season of just loss and sadness” (via Collider). “And we leave him having lost or felt like he had to let go of everything he cared about really.

“What happens from this point on is about him trying to recover what he lost or finding something new, because if that Joe you met in the pilot’s opening sequence where a book store bell sounds and a girl wearing jeans walks in has one hole in her heart now, this Joe has like 17.

“Surely, since we’ve been together longer, we’ve gotten a better sense of his baggage. There’s a lot there to look into, in my opinion.”

It’s more crucial than ever for him to avoid being discovered because he pretended to die to avoid being discovered by those who remain. Several characters have been spared Joe’s wrath during the series. Dottie Quinn’s mother, Dottie Quinn (Saffron Burrows), to Theo and Matthew Engler, are all characters in this story (Dylan Arnold and Scott Speedman respectively).

While none of these actors have acknowledged their involvement in season four, Joe’s awareness of their existence puts both them and him in jeopardy.

‘We highlighted Ellie in the season because we wanted to make it clear that yes, she’s still out there and that she does essentially represent a type of threat to Joe because she has his number in terms of who he is as well as what he has done,’ said Gamble to E!

Gamble also needs to keep things fresh, and that includes Joe’s multiple love affairs.

There should never be a sense of repetition, she explained. Because of this rigorous approach, every figure that comes into Joe’s circle undergoes a thorough examination of who would be significantly different, and what we haven’t yet explored that we can.”

There is no doubt that season four will continue in the same unique tone that we’ve come to love and despise so much.

“That we were able to pull off the tone of the show in a way that made people understand how cheeky and subversive we were being a huge relief for me when the first season of the show came out.

“While it’s a lot of fun and we’re all a little awed by it, I’d like people to think about the dark things in their souls that they’d rather not talk about because they’d rather not admit that they have them than admit that they do.

“Human beings are not infallible. Even in our minds, we aren’t pleasant. Most of us don’t go about killing people, but I’m not sure. Do I sound like a Pollyanna if I say, “I hope people are a little more forgiving of themselves when they have ugly thoughts in their heads?”? As a result of their fascination with his unsightly thoughts, they’re drawn to it.”

The following are Badgley’s comments for Collider on the fourth season: “I think Joe’s connection with himself may be at the root of the problem.

In other words, this isn’t a show about a murderer at all. For the sake of a good story, I believe it’s exaggerating the blunders we all make in romantic relationships. When it comes to relationships, we need to put down our weapons and stop being competitive, but it’s extremely difficult to accomplish.”

The fourth season of You hasn’t been announced by Netflix, but if it does mark the end of Joe, we’d anticipate the same to be true.

The fourth novel in the series, which is presently nameless, is being written by Kepnes. TV has already diverged from the source material in numerous ways, so it’s not clear how the two will line up.

She told THR what readers can expect from her new book when asked what they may look forward to in it: This is going to be a life-changing experience for Joe because he’ll be traveling to new places and fulfilling a long-held dream.

You Season 4 Trailer: When Can I Watch It?

For the time being, there will be no fresh footage to look forward to. Updates will be made available here.

In Europe, where filming has already begun, something should be ready by the fall.
