Triple Homicide

Triple Homicide: After finding three persons shot to death in an Aurora residence early on Sunday morning, Aurora police detained a 21-year-old male on suspicion of a triple homicide.

According to a news statement from the police, Christopher Martinez was detained at 5:30 am and will be charged with three counts of first-degree murder. According to authorities, he is suspected of killing three people at a residence in the 1500 block of South Evanston Street.

At 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, worried family members contacted authorities to check the home’s wellbeing. However, investigators found nothing odd and chose not to enter the house.

When the victims’ relatives arrived at the house at about 7 p.m., they discovered two women and a guy who had been killed. The victims’ identities have not been made public.

Martinez is “known to the victims,” according to the police, who claimed he was “first approached on the site last night.” According to Sgt. Faith Goodrich, the suspect, was a welcome visitor to the house on Sunday.

She said that we didn’t think anyone else was engaged, and there was no threat to the neighborhood. It was unclear whether the shooting took place right away. Interim Police Chief Art Acevedo described the violence as “inexplicable” in a statement. Our thoughts are with the victims’ families, he said.
