Tina Turner Son Ronnie: The iconic singer Tina Turner’s son, Ronnie Turner, passed away. He was 62. In an Instagram post, Ronnie’s wife, the French singer Afida Turner, announced her husband’s passing and referred to him as “a true angel” and her “best friend.”
“Even though I tried my hardest, I could not save you this time. I’ve loved you for 17 years, and this is terrible, and I’m furious, “She said in the post’s caption. “This is a tragedy; may your father, Ike Turner, Craig, and Aline rest in paradise. So unjust.”
Aida, who wed Ronnie in 2007, was alluding to the suicide death of Craig, his older brother, in 2018. Craig passed away in 2018. Ike Turner, Tina’s brother, passed away in 2007, while Alline Bullock, Ronnie’s aunt, passed away in 2010.
Tina Turner also paid respect to her son by posting a statement and a black-and-white photo of herself on social media. She wrote, “Ronnie, you departed the world far too early.” “I close my eyes in grief and remember you, my precious son.”
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at Turner’s house in Encino, California, around 9:40 a.m. to conduct a male death investigation, a department spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE. The man’s identification was unable to be verified by the spokeswoman.
The individual who called 911 reported that Ronnie was having difficulties breathing before eventually passing out, according to TMZ, which broke the news first. He was declared dead on the spot by responding paramedics despite efforts by passersby to perform CPR on him.
