Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá’s graphic novel series The Umbrella Academy tells the story of a superhuman family, all adopted by an eccentric millionaire, who are pulled together at a funeral and apocalyptic by the death of their mother. Among other things, the series features a talking goldfish, superpowers, and time travel.
In Season 3, new characters and locales will be introduced. In this new timeline, there is a lot of potentials and the possibility of many amazing secrets to be discovered. What if I told you that the Sparrow Academy is even weirder than The Umbrella Academy?
When Is The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Filming?
Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy is set to premiere in November of 2021. It was three months later in February 2021 that the new season began filming.
Elliot Page confirmed the start of filming by posting a set shot to Instagram with the message “Omg we’re here again.” They’ve also uploaded images from the set, but they haven’t divulged anything about what’s being filmed.
There’s still “a long way to go,” Tom Hopper previously told Collider in April 2021.
Since the days are shorter because of the COVID regulations, the shoot will take much longer overall, he explained. Filming had previously been set to begin a few weeks earlier, according to the actor. As of August 28, 2021, the filming of the project had come to a close.
What Are The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Episode Titles?
The third season of The Umbrella Academy will feature ten episodes. In June 2021, showrunner Steve Blackman revealed the names of the future episodes, although it’s anyone’s guess what they imply. The titles of the new episodes are:

On May 19, 2022, Netflix released the official trailer for the third season of The Umbrella Academy, showcasing all the mayhem the show’s junior season will bring.
Footage of the Hargreeves children taking against an alternate squad of heroes known as the Sparrow Academy is shown in the trailer. Finally, Pogo the Chimpanzee, who has transformed into a gruff tattoo artist, is confronted by Five.

Who Is in The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Cast?
We now know who will be returning to The Umbrella Academy for Season 3. On the list of cast members are Tom Hopper as Luther, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison, Robert Sheehan as Klaus, Aidan Gallagher as Five, and Elliot Page as Viktor. It’s expected that Ben Hargreeves (Justin H. Min) will return, but this time as a very different character.
Aside from Lila Pitts and Pogo, Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), Ritu Arya (Ritu Arya), and Adam Godley (Adam Godley) are scheduled to return. This hasn’t been confirmed, though, in a formal capacity.
The new cast members are Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, Cazzie David, and an Existential Dread Inducing Psykronium Cube – whatever it is. All of the recruits will be from the Sparrow Academy, which appears to be a parallel universe version of our heroes.
Euphoria’s Javon Walton (Euphoria) has also been cast in an unspecified part, according to reports.
Who Are the New Characters in The Umbrella Academy Season 3?
The Umbrella Academy’s second season of the time-traveling expedition has changed the course of history. The good news is that the end of the world has yet to arrive (yet). We have awful news: instead of the Sparrow Academy, Reginald Hargreeves has chosen to adopt a different group of children entirely.
The forthcoming season’s great mystery is the Sparrows. Only a few of the 43 children born in the show’s premise have been seen. The Sparrows are probably among the other children.
Netflix has given us a taste of what to expect from these mysterious new characters when the new season premieres.
Marcus / Sparrow Number One, who looks to be the head of the Sparrow Academy, is played by Justin Cornwell. “A charming, sculpted, colossus,” according to his bio. Marcus is the glue that holds the family together. He is honest, virtuous, and demanding.
He is both graceful and dangerous, calculated and sensitive. Marcus is a well-ordered, logical person. In the absence of ever raising his voice, he exudes confidence and leadership.”
As Fei / Sparrow Number Three, Britne Oldford will portray a shrewd and caustic character in dire need of affection. “Fei sees the world from a unique perspective,” she writes. There is a distinct lack of warmth and friendliness in her demeanor.
Fei, on the other hand, wishes she had a pal. Fei is usually the most knowledgeable and willing to compromise person in the room. There’s no going back once you’ve crossed Fei because she’ll keep going until the job is done.”
As Alphonso / Sparrow Number Four, played by Jake Epstein, Diego appears to be an inspiration. Eventually, if they can get past the discomfort of being in a different timeline, they might have a close relationship.
In his biography, it is stated that “years of crime-fighting have scarred his face and body with countless graphic reminders of his conflicts. Fortunately, Alphonso has a sarcastic and cutting sense of humor to make up for it.” A delicious pizza and a six-pack of beer are the only things he enjoys more than verbally beating anyone foolish enough to get in his face.
Sloane / Sparrow Number Five, played by Genesis Rodriguez, is the most emotional of the group. In her bio, she describes herself as a “romantic and a dreamer who feels a higher cosmic calling that makes her ready to tour the globe and live a life beyond her background.” Due to her dread of upsetting her family, Sloane is unable to leave the Academy without first consulting them. Sloane, on the other hand… Hopefully one day, she’ll have the courage to follow through.”
As Jayme / Sparrow Number Six, Cazzie David will take on the role of a harsh character with few friends. “Jayme is a loner buried under a hoodie,” she says. As a result, she doesn’t speak much. There is something about Jayme’s fearsome growl that makes you want to flee.
If you catch sight of it, you’ll dash across the street to avoid what’s to come. Alphonso is her only buddy, and she spends most of her time with him.”
Sparrow / Christopher The number seven is represented by a luminous, ethereal cube of energy. It’s not known if Christopher is human or if he was one of the 43 babies.
According to the character description, “Christopher is an unknown origin telekinetic cube. He can chill the air to bone-chilling temperatures and elicit paralyzing terror. For the Sparrows, he serves as their consulted oracle and family mediator, dishing out insightful advice and resolving conflicts.
Christopher is a force to be reckoned with since he is trustworthy, loyal, and treated like any other Sparrow sibling.”
Finally, Justin H. Min will reprise his role as Ben Hargreeves in Season 3. It’s been a while since we last saw the original Ben, so… To be fair, the science in The Umbrella Academy, like everything else, is a bit bizarre.
Described as a “Machiavellian tactician” who is vicious and ambitious, this new Ben is a “Mad Dog.” As the second-highest ranking member of the Sparrows, Ben appears to be eager to do whatever it takes to become the top dog. What a departure from the sweet ghost guy we’ve met thus far.
