Regular espionage thrillers are so passé these days, which is why In From the Cold showrunner Adam Glass sought to shake things up with a super-powered twist on the genre. Consider Alias crossed with Marvel.
Season one followed Jenny, a mild-mannered mother, while she vacationed in Europe with her daughter. But when people started turning up dead, we quickly discovered that “Jenny” is a lot more than even her daughter believed.
Now we’re waiting for further information on In From The Cold’s future since there’s lots of room for fresh adventures in a possible season two. Grab your best wig and join us as we break down everything you need to know about season two of In From the Cold.

In From the Cold season 2 potential release date: When will it air?
Unfortunately, as of May 2022, there is still no word on whether In From The Cold will return for a second season (though, as you’ll see in a minute, the executives have some ideas).
This could be due to a variety of factors. Netflix may be merely working on things that haven’t been announced yet (which isn’t always a good or negative thing). Typically, the streaming service makes decisions about show futures after providing them 28 days of audience exposure. If the numbers come in, all is OK. If they don’t, it could be the end.
In From The Cold did relatively well with viewers, spending just under two weeks in the Top 10 most-watched on the site in the UK, US, South Africa, and Scandinavian regions. So it’s difficult to predict which way Netflix will go on this one
In any case, we’ll keep you informed.
In From the Cold season 2 cast: Who’s in it?
While In From the Cold could technically operate as an anthology series, the second season without Margarita Levieva in the lead part is difficult to envisage. Jenny Franklin is an important character in this series, as is the spy she claims to be.
Although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, the end of season one strongly hints that Cillian O’Sullivan could return as Chauncey, this time as a love interest – albeit our super spy may very well abandon him in the interim.
Alyona Khmelnitskaya is one cast member who is unlikely to return since Jenny killed her character Svetlana Petrova (Jenny’s mother!) in the season one finale. Unless there are some bothersome guilt-ridden flashbacks involved.
In From the Cold Season 2 plot: What will happen?
In the final episode of season one, In From the Cold surprised viewers with a stunning revelation. Svetlana Petrova, Jenny’s mother, and previous boss were out to be the mastermind behind the murders all along. She also orchestrated the kidnapping of her daughter.
But why? Svetlana was enraged when Russia accused her of being a traitor after Jenny’s escape, and she sought vengeance. However, things did not go according to plan in the finale, as Jenny was forced to kill her mother, putting a stop to the scheme.
It isn’t all horrible, though. Jenny appears to be living happy life again in the last moments of season one, possibly alongside her CIA colleague (and love interest), Chauncey.
Following the premiere of his show, series creator Adam Glass spoke with Looper about a possible season two:
“It is, however, up to you [the supporters] to make it happen. So that we can get there, tell all your friends and family to watch it.”
That appears to be worth your time as well because there’s already a plan in place for where In From the Cold could go next:
Glass says, “We already know where season two and possibly season three would go.” “There’s a big tale here, and we hope we get the chance to continue telling it.”
Later, he revealed that the second season of the show would be set in New York City, allowing the origin story of the assassin known as The Whisper (aka Anna) to be explored further.
In From the Cold Season 2 trailer: When can I watch it?
We don’t know when a trailer will appear because we don’t have superpowers of our own, let alone Jenny’s logical abilities.
A trailer for a Netflix series is usually released a month before it premieres to promote anticipation. With that in mind, we’ll have to wait a little longer. However, keep checking back here because we’ll be sure to post any fresh footage that does make its way online.
