Takeoff Alleged Killer Released From Jail: Patrick Clark, the man accused of killing Takeoff, was freed from custody on a $1 million bond on Wednesday (Jan. 4), according to ABC13. Clark must, however, abide by a GPS ankle monitor until his court appearance in March 2023 as part of the bond deal.
Clark’s bond was initially set at $2 million, but his counsel argued that the higher amount was “unconstitutional” and worked with the court to reduce it to the agreed $1 million bond.
The defense team for Clark then made an effort to lower the cost to $300,000, but the court rejected the request, citing a remark Patrick made over the phone as “an indication that he could afford to make a $1 million bond.”

According to ABC13, the prosecution thought the Migos rapper’s alleged killer was hiding information regarding his financial assets since he worked many jobs that paid under the table. It was difficult to determine “how much money he had.”
The prosecution further asserted that he would pose a flight risk if not detained or restricted to a small area. Under the bond agreement, Clark’s passport was also seized, and he would be required to live with his parents in Houston without contacting Takeoff’s family.

On November 1, 2022, The Rocket Man, named Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot and killed in Houston’s Billiards and Bowling Alley.
Following Ball’s slaying, officials seized critical suspects in the case; according to The New York Times, Clark, 33, was taken into custody on December 1.
Cameron Joshua, 22, who was detained in November for illegally possessing a firearm, was allegedly at the crime scene, according to Houston Police Chief Troy Finner, who revealed during a press conference on December 2.
