Survivor Season 43: Everything We Know So Far!

Survivor Season 43

Survivor Season 43

In the past year, there has been a “new era” of Survivor. The formula that has kept the show going for over 20 years has been changed in some ways.

Two seasons have passed, and now, in season 43, a new group of castaways has started the 26-day adventure of a lifetime, hoping to be the next winner.

Read on to find out everything we know about Survivor season 43, including when the new season starts, who is in the cast, and much more.

When Does Survivor Season 43 start?

In May, during its upfront presentation, CBS said that Survivor 43 would be one of its fall shows. At the time this article was written, however, we still didn’t know when the show would start. Based on when the fall season usually starts, we can guess that the first episode will air sometime between the middle and end of September.

When is the finale of Survivor 43?

Similar to the premiere, Survivor 43 has yet to announce a finale date. However, if we’re assuming it runs the same schedule for seasons 41 and 42, it should happen at some point in December.

When did Survivor Season 43 film?

Filming for Survivor 43 likely began in late April or early May. Like seasons 41 and 42, likely, it was only filmed for 26 days. This is a big change from the 39 days that many seasons before it were filmed for.

What is the Survivor Diversity News?

In June 2019, a group of Black Survivor alumni talked about their experiences and the problems they faced as minorities on the show. They were inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement and discussions about anti-racist practices.

The “Soul Survivors Organization,” which is made up of contestants from seasons 1 to 40, put out a petition that has been widely shared. It asks the show to do several anti-racist things, such as casting at least 30% BIPOC in each cast, hiring more BIPOC as crew members, and actively supporting the cast after the season by giving them access to mental health resources.

Probst says about the petition, “The whole culture is in a beautiful upheaval, and it’s our job to respond to it to make sure that Survivor keeps reflecting our culture, our behavior, and how we interact with each other.” Everything that happens will change how Survivor goes forward.”

As a result of the initiative, CBS said in November 2020 that its unscripted shows would have to follow new rules to make them more diverse. That means that at least half of every show’s contestants must be Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC). It also means that at least 25% of its annual unscripted development budget must go to projects made by or with BIPOC producers.

Who won Survivor Season 42?

Maryanne Oketch is one of the most interesting people in the history of Survivor. She is talkative and bubbly, which often made her fellow players and Jeff Probst laugh. She was able to create the impression that she was not a threat until it was time to strike.

By getting people to vote against Omar, she made a key move that made sure she would be in the Final 3. And when she got there, her explanation of how she used her good name and advantages to her advantage gave her a near-unanimous win.

What Happened to Dan on Survivor?

Dan Spilo was kicked out of the game because he had been touched inappropriately more than once. This was a good move for the #MeToo movement.

How Many Seasons of Survivor are there?

The first episode of Survivor aired on May 31, 2000. Since then, there have been two seasons a year, in the spring and fall, until the fall of 2020. The show will start up again in 2021. There are 622 episodes from 42 completed seasons of Survivor.
