“queendom 2″ Everything You Need to Know!

Queendom Season 2

Queendom Season 2

The time has come for K-pop girl group fans. Queendom 2 is just around the corner! Before the tournament begins, here’s everything you need to know.

What is Queendom 2?

Queendom 2 is a weekly reality show in which well-known female idols, both groups, and solos, compete against one another. Queendom 2 is the sequel to Queendom, which aired on Mnet in 2019 and featured Park Bom, AOA, MAMAMOO, Lovelyz, Oh My Girl, and (G)I-DLE from 2NE1.

Following Queendom, Mnet tried the same approach with boy groups on Road to Kingdom in 2020 (with Pentagon, ONF, Golden Child, The Boyz, Verivery, ONEUS, and TO1) and Kingdom: Legendary War in 2021 (with Pentagon, ONF, Golden Child, The Boyz, Verivery, ONEUS, and TO1) (featuring BtoB, iKON, SF9, Azeez, The Boyz, and Stray Kids).

Even though it is a survival programme, there is a good likelihood that no one will be eliminated during the duration of the show. Only Road to Kingdom has had eliminations thus far. The show instead uses a ranking-based approach to choose the winners. During Queendom, it was announced that if an act finished the last two times in a row, they would be ousted from the competition – but this did not happen.

Queendom 2’s slogan is “rule the globe,” which is most likely a reference to Beyoncé’s 2011 hit.

Who will be participating in Queendom 2?

Fans have been speculating what the Queendom 2 lineup may look like since the program was initially announced. Mnet announced Brave Girls, Cosmic Girls (WJSN), Kep1er, LOONA, Hyolyn, and VIVIZ as participants in Queendom 2 in late February, according to Soompi.

Meet the 6 girl groups fighting for the crown:

Brave Girls

Brave Girls is Brave Entertainment’s first girl group, which debuted in 2011. Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji, and Yuna are the current members of the group. After a two-year sabbatical, all of the current members rejoined Brave Girls in 2016.

Thank You is their most recent release, which was released on March 14, 2022. However, you’ve most likely heard their viral hit song “Rollin'” from 2017. Years after its debut, the track earned the girls numerous awards at music events, as well as a perfect all-kill on the South Korean charts.

“At this time, Brave Girls, we couldn’t reveal many charms. So in Queendom 2, we’ll work hard to portray many diverse and new sides of ourselves. We’re the bunch that you’ll never tyre of seeing. “That is our forte,” the group told Mnet ahead of the premiere. “Strangers make us uncomfortable. We’re both excited and nervous… We’re the only pals [we have], therefore we’re excited to meet new people. Let’s have a friendly competition.”

Hyolyn

Formerly a member of Starship Entertainment’s SISTAR, Hyolyn made her solo debut in late 2013 with the release of her album Love & Hate, featuring songs like “Lonely,” “Red Lipstick” with Block B’s Zico, and “O.M.G” with Lil Boi. Hyolyn is now under her own company, bridʒ. Her most recent single, “Layin’ Low,” was released in January 2022.

“Instead of emphasising [what], my strong point is,” Hyolyn told Mnet ahead of Queendom 2, “I’d rather exhibit varied performances regardless of genres.” “I can make some nice friends [and] I can rise even more individually.”

Kep1er

Kep1er is entering Queendom 2 after winning another Mnet survival show. The new group, which was founded through Girls Planet 999, has only released one EP so far, which includes three songs from the event as well as “WA DA DA,” “See The Light,” and “MVSK.” Yujin, Mashiro, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayton, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Younger, and Yes, however, appear to be up to the task.

Before the debut of Queendom 2, the group told Mnet, “It’s a huge honour to be here as a Kep1er.” “We are ecstatic to present you with a variety of performances… We want to show you our surprising attractions. “We’re looking forward to being here with the seniors.”

LOONA

LOONA made their official debut in August 2018 with their EP [+ +], after releasing solo promotional singles for each of the group’s 12 members (Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Yeojin, ViVi, Kim Lip, Jin Soul, Cherry, Yves, Chuu, Go Won, and Olivia Hye) since October 2016. [&], their fourth EP, was released on June 28, 2021, with the title track “PTT (Paint The Town).”

Their songs “Butterfly,” “Why Not?” “So What,” and others are all highly catchy and have racked up millions of YouTube views.

“We were both thrilled and astonished when we found out that LOONA will feature on Queendom 2,” the members told Mnet. “We’re putting in a lot of effort since this is our comeback.” Please keep an eye out for our performances.”

VIVAZ

VIVIZ, like Kep1er, is officially a newbie on Queendom 2, but the members have a lot of experience in the industry. BPM Entertainment’s three-member group made their debut on February 9, 2022, with the release of its mini-album Beam of Prism. SinB, Eunha, and Umji, on the other hand, were formerly known as members of GFRIEND, which disbanded unexpectedly in 2021.

With only six songs in their repertoire, including their debut title tune, the trio’s catalogue as VIVIZ is quite restricted. As a member of VIVIZ, Eunha had a collaboration song with ADORA. It’s unknown whether SinB, Eunha, and Umji will be able to play GFRIEND songs on Queendom 2, although it’s unlikely given the trio’s desire to flaunt their new VIVIZ colours.

“We made a new beginning!” “On Queendom 2, we can show off our skills,” they told Mnet. “[Our strong point] is the rookie’s zeal combined with the talents [of an] 8-year veteran artist.”

WJSN (aka Cosmic Girls)
WJSN, or Cosmic Girls, made their debut in 2016 with the publication of their first EP, Would You Like? Seol, Xuan Yi, Bona (who you may recognise as Yurim from Netflix’s K-drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One), EXY, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Mei Qi, Yeoreum, Dayoung, and Yeonjung make up WJSN’s 13 members.

WJSN CHOCOME (with Soobin, Luda, Yeoreum, and Dayoung) and WJSN THE BLACK are the two components of the group today (SeolA, Bona, EXY, and Eunseo.) “Super Yuppers!” is WJSN’s most recent subgroup comeback, which was released in January 2022. WJSN’s three Chinese members — Xuan Yi, Cheng Xiao, and Mei Qi — are now inactive, while Dawon is taking a hiatus from group activities for health reasons, therefore Queendom 2 will not include all members.

‘Super Pumped’ Season 2 Will Be About Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook!

“We’re now preparing for the first performance. “We’re practising as hard as the rest of the teams,” WJSN told Mnet. “We decided to take our seats on Queendom 2.” We’ll have fun while working hard. We wish to demonstrate our enthusiasm. Our group is capable of executing a wide range of concepts.”

Who is presenting Queendom 2?

While all eyes will be on the competitors, the presenters are just as interesting. Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation will serve as the MC for Queendom 2. (SNSD). Comedian Lee Yongjin will serve as Queen Manager for the SM singer, who just made a comeback with her third solo studio album INVU.

When does Queendom 2 start?

On March 31, at 9:20 p.m. KST, Queendom 2 premieres its debut episode (or, 8:30 a.m. EST). Following the premiere, the show will air every Thursday on Mnet.

Where can I watch Queendom 2?

Mnet will broadcast Queendom 2, but overseas viewers can watch it on Rakuten Viki. The episodes will be available on the same day that they air in South Korea. Mnet will post highlight snippets from the show, as well as the complete versions of the performances, on its YouTube channel following each episode.

What challenges will we see on Queendom 2?

Nothing has been officially stated, and Mnet is infamous for changing things up during its competition events. However, based on the previous programmes, Queendom 2 is likely to have a round of preliminary performances or fast intro stages, followed by three additional rounds with varying difficulties, and a live final round.

Song re-arrangements abound, swapped tunes, covers, collaborations, and, of course, killer staging are all likely challenges. According to Viki’s description of the performance, groups will perform some of their most popular songs, sing and dance surprise tracks, collaborate with competing groups, and perform “a brand-new song of their own on a dramatic final stage.”

Is LOONA absent from the first round of Queendom 2?

Yes is the quick answer. LOONA had to miss the filming of Round 1 of Mnet’s Queendom 2 because some members tested positive for COVID-19, according to Soompi. The group’s company, Blackberry Creative, issued an official statement announcing the news.

We’re not sure how this will influence LOONA’s screen time during the first official broadcast episode, since they didn’t record Round 1 with the other teams.

When will Queendom 2 end?

Queendom 2 is intended to have ten episodes, similar to Queendom and Kingdom: Legendary War. The finale will be telecast on June 2, 2022, assuming there are no unexpected delays.
