Mike White: Mike White, the quarterback for the New York Jets, left the Week 14 game against the Buffalo Bills in the third quarter after being severely hit in the middle of the body.
White stayed on the ground for a while before getting up and leaving with his sneakers. Despite being able to play through his rib injury, the team sent White to the hospital as a precaution after the game.
As the team is still learning the full degree of the injury, head coach Robert Saleh called the starting quarterback for the Jets “day-to-day” on Monday. Saleh claims the group is preparing White to suit up in Week 15.
Saleh was asked who would start if White were to miss time, and he was unsure whether Joe Flacco or Zach Wilson would get the nod. Joe Flacco replaced White at the Jets’ quarterback position when he left the game due to injury.
White, who had been listed as doubtful to play, returned in the fourth quarter after receiving treatment in the locker room, and he completed the game, which the Bills won 20-12.
Linebacker Matt Milano of the Bills struck White as he blitzed up the middle at full speed. As he attempted to gather his breath, the Jets quarterback was spotted lying on the ground.

White departed the game twice on Sunday afternoon after taking a big hit. He took a heavy shot in the first half and was replaced by Flacco for two plays. However, this strike from Milano seemed to be more significant.
Before getting hurt, White directed a 10-play, 72-yard drive that resulted in a Donovan Knight touchdown and tied the score at seven all. On Monday, Saleh provided an injury report for defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, stating that he is also questionable with a calf injury.
Williams suffered what seemed to be a non-contact injury and was forced to leave Sunday’s game in the second quarter. Saleh told the New York Post, “What I’m getting now is day-to-day from the trainers. They think he has a chance to succeed this week.
