Logan Holgate Death: Following the passing of one of England’s promising rugby players, condolences are pouring in. Logan Holgate, who was 18 years old, passed away unexpectedly. He represented England at the youth international level while playing for the Cumbrian Hensingham ARLFC.
According to Hensingham ARLFC: “We regret to inform you that one of our boys, Logan Holgate, passed away today. “Logan has been a club member since he was a youngster, and this season, he has played for both our open-age and under-18 teams.
“Please accept our sincere sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased. We are all devastated by the news and will do whatever we can to help the family. Tributes from the rugby league community emphasized his potential as one of the nation’s top talents.
A declaration read: “Everyone involved with the England Community Lions Program was shocked to learn of Logan Holgate’s unexpected death on January 11th.

“The gifted hooker continued the family heritage by representing the Lions, closely after older brother Ellison and younger brother Fletcher. The hooker played admirably for Hensingham, notably in the National Conference’s melting pot last season.
“Logan first attracted attention in 2021 when he made his Under 16 Lions debut against Wales at Colwyn Bay. “Due to his rapidly improving club play, it didn’t take him long to earn a spot on the Under 19s touring squad that made history in Italy in September after first impressing in trials.
“He virtually never left the scene during the demanding six-game qualification day while in Italy, impressing teammates and staff with his work ethic, contagious enthusiasm, and quick wit.

“The Lions then defeated Wales and France to win the Under 19 European Championships for the first time, thanks mainly to his outstanding play in both the Semifinal and Final.
“He is a brilliant young guy and teammate, leaving a lasting impression on the program and the personnel. “At this terrible moment, our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.”
Logan, who also played for Hensignham, was slated to be promoted to the Salford Red Devils reserve team this season after progressing through their junior academy.
