How Did Val Kilmer Start His Career Begin?
In the play How It All Began, which had its world premiere at the New York Shakespeare Festival, Kilmer co-wrote and acted in, he launched his career when he was still a Juilliard student.
At this stage in his career, Kilmer focused on the theater and even turned down prestigious film parts to remain in the theater business. In 1983, he appeared in the off-Broadway play Slab Boys alongside Sean Penn and Kevin Bacon.
