He was not only a tremendous talent and a pleasure to work with, but he also offered the country an emotional haven during one of its most trying moments.

His magnificence as a son, brother, artist, comic, partner, and human being more than made up for his short stature. The only comfort one can have right now is the knowledge that he left this planet at the pinnacle of both his professional and personal lives.

According to TMZ, Jordan may have suffered a medical emergency before the collision that caused his death. According to TMZ, Jordan had breathing problems for three weeks before passing.

He was due to visit a cardiologist the week following his passing to have his heart examined and rule out any underlying medical conditions. According to sources cited by TMZ, Jordan was in good health despite his shortness of breath in 2021, although he had COVID-19.

Jordan has previously been candid about his battles with drug and alcohol addiction, from which he didn’t recover until he was 42. Jordan claimed that he began doing drugs after moving to Los Angeles in 1982 and being involved in the homosexual club scene in West Hollywood in an interview The Guardian in 2020. At the time, he claimed, “It started on the dance floors and escalated to the point where I’d get high at home and forget to leave the house.”

Jordan got associated with Project Angel Food, a Los Angeles nonprofit that provided food to those with HIV and Aids, during the beginning of the 1990s. He also got involved with Project Nightlife, a program where he and other volunteers offered emotional support to AIDS patients.

“Back then, I still had a little drug issue,” he admitted. “My friends and I would use small amounts of crystal meth, dance, and then the next day, I would be up all day and sit with folks. Talk and smoke smokes. They were at least accompanied. I made for a great company.

After doing time in prison for three instances of drunk driving in a year, Jordan became sober at the age of 42. I got stuck in the pokey,” he admitted. I advise folks to try spending 27 days in the county jail for men in Los Angeles if they want to become sober. That will wake you up in the arse. Jordan added that while incarcerated, he met Robert Downey Jr., who has also been open about his battles with addiction.

In California, it’s against the law to release a drunk until after the bars close, according to Jordan, who also revealed that he and Downey Jr. shared a cell until Jordan was freed.

While filming Ally McBeal in 2001, they ran into each other again, though Downey Jr. didn’t recognize him. He remarked, “Didn’t we? I responded, “Yep, 152, pod A, cell 13, you were top [bunk], I was bottom, and he asked, “Are you?”

Is  Leslie Jordan Married?

Leslie Jordan kept a low profile regarding his relationships, talking openly about his experiences with many partners while keeping their identities a secret.

Leslie explained to Pride Source in a February 2022 interview that his boyfriend was assisting him in learning to be more sensitive to praise. When someone appreciates you, give them a compliment in return, my partner tells me all the time, Jordan stated. I responded, “No, no, I’m too busy. However, he will respond, “Own it. I’m working on it.”

Jordan kept the boyfriend’s identity a secret and refrained from sharing his photo on social media. Jordan’s 2021 interview with Andy Cohen, in which he said he was happy to be single, led to the beginning of the relationship. Leslie said that he had never gone on a date:

Never have I been on a date. For instance, when you pick me up and drive me somewhere. My generation didn’t engage in that. Numerous bars may be found. You set out, traveling both here and there. However, I can’t recall ever going on a date.

Leslie never married, but he came very close when a boyfriend who liked older guys proposed to him in 2017. Although Jordan said yes to the marriage proposal, it never materialized. He stated to the Gay Times magazine:

He took a flight to LA three days before I left for London. After three days, he proposed to me, and I accepted. I told him, “Let’s see what happens after I return from my 30-day trip to London. Leslie loved his connection with this partner even though they didn’t get married. Jordan affirmed, “It was this connection.” We attempted to have sex about ten times but were unsuccessful because we would talk too much.

Late in October 2021, Max Greenfield—a straight man who is wed to casting director Tess Sanchez—was jokingly proposed to by Jordan. I jokingly asked @iammaxgreenfield to marry me, and he responded, “I am straight and already married,” Jordan wrote on Instagram. He didn’t, however. I suppose I don’t want to be a wrecker of houses.
