Greg Davis’s Relationships And Personal Life
The most recent challenging period in the 52-year-old Inbetweeners actor’s life happened in 2015 when rumors of his breakup with his longtime lover started to spread. For many years, Greg Davies dated Liz Kendall, a candidate for the Labour Party leadership. In May 2015, just a few weeks before the general election, the couple announced their separation. The two had broken up, but Liz stated in an exclusive interview with Mirror that they had remained close friends.
She also made it clear that she would prefer some personal space and would not be the type of politician who mixes up facts from her private life and reveal them to the public. Liz Kendall, a candidate for the Labour Party, has declared her relationship with comedian and actor Greg Davies to be over. Before breaking up a few weeks before the election, she had been dating the Inbetweeners actor for a few years. Greg maintains a low profile, so even while he might be dating, it’s unknown whether he is committed to anyone.
In August 2019, a fan shared a picture of Greg kissing another man on the set of Taskmaster, and the narrative changed as rumors of the comic’s sexual orientation spread. The host’s photo went viral overnight, sparking a heated debate regarding his sexual orientation. Additionally, there were rumors that Grey Davies was dating fellow British comedian Alex Horne. Davies brought up the allegation, and Russel Howard, an English comedian, addressed it in their conversation. A 2020 YouTube video claims that Davies was outraged after reading the Reddit report.
Greg Davies Career
Davies performed a parody of cricketer W. G. Grace in a series of adverts for Channel 4’s 2005 The Ashes television broadcast. For the 2007 Chortle Awards, Davies was nominated in three categories: Breakthrough Act, Best Sketch, Variety or Character Act, and Best Full-Length Show.
At the 2010 Edinburgh Festival, Davies’ debut solo stand-up performance, Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog, was nominated for a Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award. The following fall, the concert went on its first-ever tour. Even more impressively, his act was shortlisted for the Edinburgh Fringe’s Malcolm Hardee Act Most Likely to Make a Million Pound Award.
Beginning in October 2013, Davies played Dan, a character who despises his job as a teacher, opposite Rik Mayall as Dan’s father in the sitcom Man Down on Channel 4. A 25-minute Christmas special was ordered by Channel 4 before the first series was shown, and a second series was announced during Davies’s live performance of The Back of My Mum’s Head; however, this was before Rik Mayall passed away in June 2014.
Since July 2015, Taskmaster, a panel game show, has been hosted by Davies. In the comedy-drama A Gert Lush Christmas on BBC Two in December 2015, he played Tony, the uncle of Russell and Kerry Howard’s characters. On Christmas Day 2015, he appeared as King Hydroflax in the Doctor Who episode “The Husbands of River Song.”
