Frank Vallelonga Jr., a Green Book actor, was discovered dead in New York. The manager of Vallelonga Jr., Melissa Prophet, sent ET a statement in which she merely stated, “I can regrettably confirm this is accurate.”

According to the NYPD, cops were called to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive guy in the Bronx at around 4 a.m. on Monday. When they arrived, Vallelonga Jr. was on the ground unconscious. When EMS arrived, they declared Vallelonga Jr. dead there and then. He was 60.

According to the NYPD, the Medical Examiner will determine the actor’s official cause of death, who claim Vallelonga Jr. had no evident indications of trauma when they arrived. In the meantime, the police have officially announced the detention of Steven Smith, 35, on suspicion of concealing a corpse.

Vallelonga Jr. is best known for playing a relative of Viggo Mortensen’s character, Frank “Tony Lip” Vallelonga, a bouncer, in the Academy Award-winning movie.

The bouncer from Green Book was the son of actor Vallelonga Jr., who is most known for playing Carmine Lupertazzi, the crime lord, on HBO’s The Sopranos. In 2013, Vallelonga Sr. passed away. Along with other tiny parts, Vallelonga Jr. appeared in a small part in an episode of the popular HBO series from 2004.

His brother, Nick Vallelonga, co-wrote, produced, and featured in Green Book alongside him. The film won two Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture. The circumstances behind Vallelonga Jr.’s passing are still under investigation.
