Artiste Cody Longo’s death was caused by continuous drinking, according to the medical examiner’s report that KXAN was able to get. As per an earlier source, the 34-year-old Denver resident was discovered unconscious in a property close to Austin in February.
A family member stated that Longo’s medical examiner’s summary indicated that he had “a history of significant alcohol consumption.” Following her husband’s death on February 10, Stephanie Longo, the actor’s wife, stated PEOPLE honoring her late spouse.
“Cody was our whole world. The kids and I are shattered and beyond devastated,” she shared of the couple’s three young children. “He was the best dad and best father. “I’ve cried… I’ve screamed… I’m angry… I feel bitter… I’m laughing, thinking back at our silly moments together, I’m crying happy tears looking back on our beautiful life,” she wrote alongside a series of black and white snapshots of Cody with their kids. “I’m mourning the life we could’ve had… I’m beating myself up thinking I could’ve done more to save you…”
“I have lost a part of myself… a part of me left with you that day,” Stephanie continued. “We miss your smile, your laugh, your hugs, your cuddles… the prayers you would pray over us every night.:
She continued by saying that Cody “fought for so long.”You fought for our family. The babies and I will never understand or grasp why your fight came to an end…but we know you are in pain FREE and at peace in heaven with Jesus. I know you are the MOST beautiful angel watching over us. We love you… forever and always…🌹.”
The talent agency’s founder updated the post with the hashtags “f— addiction” and “mental health is real.” “We threw you the most beautiful celebration this weekend… I know you were smiling down on us hunny!!🤍,” she concluded the tribute to her husband.
Days of Our Lives’ Nicholas Alamain, the son of Carly Manning (Crystal Chappell), was portrayed by Cody for eight episodes in 2011. Among the other acting credits are Make It or Break It and Nashville. He was not only an actor but also a singer; in 2012, he recorded his debut solo song, “Atmosphere.”
In January 2021, Cody pleaded guilty to a Colorado minor assault charge related to an event that occurred in 2019 involving a 9-year-old child. The publication was able to get court paperwork that show Cody was arrested in January 2020 and charged with sexual assault on a minor, a class 4 offense.
In November 2020, he was also accused of domestic abuse after his wife claimed he had shoved her in the face with his forearm, according to a police record obtained by the site.
