Christine McVie Cause of Death: Fleetwood Mac’s singer and keyboardist, Christine McVie, has passed away. She was 79. In a statement on Instagram, McVie’s family announced her passing and stated that the singer died on Wednesday at a hospital. The same post revealed that she passed away after a brief illness; however, her family withheld any other information regarding Christine McVie’s cause of death.

“She was with her family at the time. We respectfully request that you respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time. We also ask that you preserve Christine in your hearts as you recall her life as a fantastic person and a revered musician who was adored by all, “the message persisted.

Fans of Fleetwood Mac were informed of such depressing news on their social media accounts, including Twitter. The band regarded the late singer and keyboardist as the best musician who could ever play in any round. She was also mentioned as everyone’s best friend, family, and bandmate.

Fleetwood Mac acknowledged their sorrow and said they would miss the singer dearly. Fans and coworkers of McVie posted pictures of her online and wrote touching condolences to the artist.

Early in her career, McVie frequently worked with various musicians, such as Spencer Davis, Stan Webb, and Andy Silvester. She founded Chicken Shack with the latter two musicians, and “It’s Okay With Me Baby” served as the group’s debut song.

She stayed with them for a while, but in 1969, after getting married to Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie, she left. When she formally joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970, the vocalist realized her lifelong goal.

She contributed to the writing of several of the band’s hit songs, including “Don’t Stop,” “Over My Head,” “Little Lies,” “Hold Me,” and “You Make Loving Fun.”

She could still sit down for a Rolling Stone interview before she passed away earlier this year. When she was still a member of Fleetwood Mac, McVie claimed that she had no idea she was the calm in the band’s storm.

She also praised the friendships and character traits of her bandmates. McVie joined the group on its reunion tour before departing in 1998. Thankfully, she came back in 2014 and played with them until 2019.
