Price has been busy assisting a troubled family who lost five small children in a house fire that destroyed their rental house on Dartmouth Avenue; they said, “I canceled services and came straight over.”
At the residence, which was a 1 1/2-story building off Bailey Avenue, Clarence and Lisa Liggins resided along with two of their adult children and six grandchildren who ranged in age from 7 months to 10 years old, according to Price.
Three girls, aged 7, 8, and 10, passed away on Saturday. A 4-year-old girl and a 2-year-old child died earlier at Oishei Children’s Hospital, where rescue workers brought them. The family found out about their deaths just hours before the news conference.
On Monday, the baby was given to family members. According to Price, Clarence Liggins and his two adult children who resided in the home also live with relatives nearby.
According to the pastor, Lisa Liggins, 63, who has third-degree burns all over her body, is still in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center.
