10 People Injured In Lakeland Shooting Florida Police Say!

Lakeland Shooting

Lakeland Shooting

According to authorities, a drive-by shooting on Monday afternoon in Lakeland, Florida, left at least 10 people hurt. At a press conference, Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor stated that they still had not located the shooters as of 7 p.m. local time and thought the shooting was intentional rather than accidental.

Two people, according to Taylor, are in critical condition. At the time of the press conference, one was currently undergoing surgery, and the other was “either in surgery or headed to surgery.” According to Taylor, one had an abdominal wound, and the other had a gunshot wound to the “jaw area.”

An additional eight people had injuries that were not life-threatening, he said. One of them suffered a ricochet wound, Taylor said. All the victims were adult males “described as between the ages of 20 and 35,” Taylor said.

This is not something that occurs in Lakeland, he declared. “We consider ourselves a tiny town between Tampa and Orlando, so when things like this happen, it touches home with me a little bit. This truly bothers me to some level. Maybe we’re no longer a small town.”

According to Taylor, the incident occurred around 3:45 p.m., and shots were fired from a sluggish four-door Nissan’s four windows. The vehicle was reported as having tinted windows, a temporary tag, and a dark blue exterior.
